HEAVEN is a powerhouse heavy rock band formed in Sydney Australia in 1980. By fusing their Aussie PUB ROCK sound with a hint of METAL, the band forged it’s own unique sound and by 1982 they became international artists.
HEAVEN based themselves in Los Angeles where they toured extensively with iconic bands including KISS, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Mötley Crüe, Mötörhead, as well as headline tours of their own.
HEAVEN is musically tougher than ever and following the re-release of Where Angels Fear to Tread in the UK & Europe, they now have a new EP on the way, with a headline tour of Japan in November 2026.
Four decades on, HEAVEN are still loud, still heavy, and still very much ready to rock!

Laurie Marlow
Originating from London UK and immigrated to South Australia, Laurie moved to Sydney in pursuit of becoming an international musician……and the band HEAVEN was born.
Laurie has always been a major songwriter of both music and lyrics of the bands recorded albums Twilight of Mischief, Where Angels Fear to Tread, Heaven Live to BBC. Other recordings also include 2 current albums with Kings of the Sun, released internationally and Black Label Australia band which released 3 albums and 3 EPs worldwide. With a headlining tour of Europe and UK, they recorded a live album at the German Music Festival Pop Komm.
He has also toured in the USA, Europe, New Zealand, Netherlands and the U.K. and has been a member in Matt Finish, Kings of The Sun and Black Label (Australia).
John Haese
John was original founding member of popular Adelaide band Fat Lip, which performed regularly on the local and regional pub/club circuit.
John received a call from Laurie which saw him move to Sydney for the new project, which became HEAVEN.
John has toured extensively with the band throughout its long career and co-wrote and recorded the band’s first album Twilight of Mischief. He has also worked with many top artists including members of ACDC, Rose Tattoo, Radiators and award-winning producer, Peter Blyton.
Mick O’Shea
Micks career over 30 years reads more like a ‘who’s who” of the Australian music industry and beyond! He has toured extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand, US, Europe, UK and Asia with the likes of Rose Tattoo, Billy Thorpe, Choir Boys, Judge Mercy, Rose Carleo Band, Dragon, Party Boys and Kevin Borich just to name a few!
In 2018 Mick played with Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) and Orianthi Panagaris on the RSO Australian Tour.
Steve Down
Steve is a Sydney boy through and through.
Originally starting his musical career with cover bands before moving on to working freelance with award winning Australian artists Shannon Noll, The Noll Brothers, Matt Cornell and Dave Wilkins’ Dirty Birds. Regular session work in the late 2000’s for Craig Portells at Eargasm Studios and 5 years playing in Sydney originals band Black Label.
